February 18th, 2007 is celebrated amongst Tibetans as the beginningof the Fire Pig Year.

As in most cultures this represents a time to pacify and remove left-over negativity

and to look to the future rejoicing in the universal quality of giving life a fresh start.

Tibetans believe that if you want good circumstances,

you need to establish good conditions yourself

so they engage in rituals concerned with inspiring a creative attitude,

to establish a basis for a good new year.
